In the last moments of World War II, at the height of the fall of the Third Reich, Willi Herold, a 19-year-old deserted soldier, ragged and hungry, finds a uniform of a Nazi captain. Posing as an officer, Herold will begin to transform using the authority that gives him his new identity, revealing the monstrous essence of those he is trying to escape from.
