A film noir evocative Caribbean drama set in 1953 in the Dominican Republic during the cruel dictatorship of Leonidas Trujillo. After a group of mental patients escapes from Nigüa Psychiatric Hospital, Dr. Antonio Zaglul is appointed a new director of the establishment. It will be difficult to tell if madness lives inside or outside the hospital’s walls.

Leticia Tonos

Leticia Tonos was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She is a graduate of Advertising Art at APEC. Has a Master’s degree in Communication from the International University of Andalusia and a diploma in Cinematography from The London Film School. Start as a production assistant for the Chea Films company. Tonos works in the production of commercials and feature films nationally and internationally. She is one of the founders and member of the Board of Directors of the Dominican Association of Professionals of the Film Industry (ADOCINE). Leticia is currently President of Producciones Línea Espiral, SA. Among his work in the area of production are: “Bitter Sugar” (1994), “In Search of a Dream” (1996), “Crisis in Havana” (2000), “Perico Ripiao” (2003), “Lost City” (2004) and others.
