We congratulate the director for having created a film that breathes the same soul of her character: calm, sensible and with the right distance to let everything run at its own pace to reveal a very deep past, which can only be unmasked in the viewer. as the days or perhaps the years go by. Because the horrors of the dictatorship take time to gel and take time to surface.

Honorable Mentions: Anamorphose, by João Rodrigues and El Faro, by Mauricio Esparza and Luis Angel Esparza.

We are pleased to announce that we have selected two exceptional short films to receive Honorable Mention in the animation category.

“Anamorphose”, an amazing stop motion short film, has captured our attention for its impeccable technical quality. The ability to bring the animation to life in every frame and the attention to detail in the execution of this technique have left a lasting impression on the jury.

"The lighthouse", a captivating work of 2D animation, has been chosen for the powerful message it conveys and the shocking emotions it provokes. Specifically, the scene in which the protagonist dives into the sea and is dragged by the waves has left us breathless. The palpable sense of anguish she managed to convey is testament to the creators' mastery of evoking genuine emotions through animation.
