Gabriella Moses won the coveted Nora Ephron award at the Tribeca Festival with “Boca Chica” and Gabriela Ortega with her short film “Huella” was an official selection at the Sundance Festival. With support from the Sundance Lab and the Cine Qua Non residency, he is working on the feature film version of it.

Join a fascinating conversation with two prominent Dominican filmmakers, Héctor Valdez and Juan Antonio Bisonó, in “De HERE Pa'Allá and De Allá Pa'Aka.” Héctor Valdez, recognized for directing works such as “Al Sur de la Inocencia” and “Melocotones”, and Juan Antonio Bisonó, director of the moving “MOSH”, will share their unique experiences in the Dominican film industry.

The plight of the people of Lebanon, under successive corrupt sectarian governments, has been largely forgotten. Hundreds of people were killed and thousands injured in the massive Beirut port explosion in August 2020, a tragedy directly related to government negligence. Nominated for the Oscar for Best International Film for Ireland, Stephen will tell us about his story of superhuman resilience, incredible strength and infinite patience.
