DESNUDAS DE PREJUICIOS, VESTIDAS DE VERDAD

El documental es una exposición de los testimonios de siete mujeres (Elisa, Gloria, Teresa, Carolina, Lola, Loles y Begoña), de entre 50 y 90 años, sobre su vida íntima y sexual, navegando por los momentos más trascendentes de su infancia, adolescencia y juventud, que marcaron su futuro para ser quienes son. Cuenta con la colaboración especial de la psicóloga clínica y sexóloga Nuria Pérez Iranzo.

Estarán también en la presentación Itziar Prats e Isabel Gallardo, quienes hablarán de su proyecto «El latido de las mariposas» -en recuerdo de las hijas de Itziar, Martina y Nerea y para educar en igualdad y contra la violencia vicaria- y la poetisa Magdalena Blesa.

La entrada será gratuita hasta completar el aforo.

Siete mensajes de superación
Según Esmeralda Marugán, este documental narra los testimonios de mujeres «que, mostrando una generosidad y pasión absoluta -ya que no recibieron ningún tipo de retribución económica, al igual que el resto del equipo-, expusieron sus vivencias como reflejo de nuestra sociedad y como un mensaje de superación”, al tiempo que añade que “no pretendemos conseguir con este documental la igualdad, pero sí reflejar que no existe, que todavía nos queda mucho pendiente y por avanzar en la sociedad”.

«Entre los testimonios se encuentra el de Elisa, una mujer que fue víctima de abusos sexuales por parte de su padre cuando era tan solo una niña, con la complicidad y el secretismo de su entorno familiar. Algo terrible, tan solo siendo una niña y sin poder pedir ayuda. Todo un ejemplo de superación, pues en la actualidad es una reputada pedagoga que muestra la dificultad de denunciar y la persistencia de una doble moral en nuestra sociedad», prosigue la directora del documental.

«Otra historia es la de una mujer de 90 años que ha conseguido sobrevivir a una familia conservadora y a un matrimonio infeliz para llegar a convertirse en una criminóloga y poder vivir su sexualidad abiertamente, y en libertad, que apartó completamente para poder salvar a su hijo pequeño de las adicciones. Otras protagonistas son una enfermera que vivió los años 80 en su máximo esplendor, cayendo de lleno en la drogadicción o una madre soltera y periodista que tras ser despedida de su empresa fue diagnosticada de cáncer de colon. Gloria es una cantante de los años 70, que fue una mujer maltratada física y psicológicamente por su ex marido, el que pretendía encerrarla en un psiquiátrico, para poder casarse de nuevo. Carolina, es una prestigiosa fotógrafa, criada en una familia convencional, casada tres veces, y madre de una hija de ninguno de sus tres maridos. Terminamos con Loles, quien por amar a otra mujer interviene cubierta por temor a las represalias profesionales. Es decir, cada historia aporta un abanico de experiencias y perspectivas sobre la libertad y la identidad femenina”, concluye Marugán.

It features the special collaboration of clinical psychologist and sexologist Nuria Pérez Iranzo.

Also present at the screening will be Itziar Prats and Isabel Gallardo, who will talk about their project “El latido de las mariposas” (The Heartbeat of Butterflies) – in memory of Itziar’s daughters, Martina and Nerea, and to educate about equality and against vicarious violence – and the poet Magdalena Blesa.

Seven messages of overcoming adversity
According to Esmeralda Marugán, this documentary narrates the testimonies of women “who, showing absolute generosity and passion—since they did not receive any financial compensation, like the rest of the team—shared their experiences as a reflection of our society and as a message of overcoming adversity,” She adds that “we do not intend to achieve equality with this documentary, but rather to reflect that it does not exist, that we still have a long way to go and much progress to make in society.”
«Among the testimonies is that of Elisa, a woman who was sexually abused by her father when she was just a child, with the complicity and secrecy of her family environment. It was terrible, being just a child and unable to ask for help. She is an example of overcoming adversity, as she is now a renowned educator who highlights the difficulty of reporting abuse and the persistence of double standards in our society,» continues the director of the documentary.

«Another story is that of a 90-year-old woman who managed to survive a conservative family and an unhappy marriage to become a criminologist and live her sexuality openly and freely, which she completely put aside in order to save her young son from addiction. Other protagonists include a nurse who lived through the 1980s in all their glory, falling headlong into drug addiction, and a single mother and journalist who, after being fired from her job, was diagnosed with colon cancer. Gloria is a singer from the 1970s who was physically and psychologically abused by her ex-husband, who wanted to have her committed to a psychiatric hospital so he could remarry. Carolina is a prestigious photographer, raised in a conventional family, married three times, and mother to a daughter from none of her three husbands. We end with Loles, who, because she loves another woman, intervenes undercover for fear of professional reprisals. In other words, each story contributes a range of experiences and perspectives on female freedom and identity,» concludes Marugán.
