UNA QUINTA PORTUGUESA

The disappearance of his wife leaves Fernando, a quiet geography teacher, utterly devastated. Lost and unmoored, he assumes another man’s identity and takes a job as a gardener on a Portuguese estate. There, he forms an unexpected bond with the estate’s owner and gradually slips into a new life that does not belong to him. As Fernando inhabits this borrowed existence, the film explores grief, identity, and the fragile boundary between escape and erasure.

La desaparición de su mujer deja a Fernando, un tranquilo profesor de geografía, completamente devastado. Sin rumbo, suplanta la identidad de otro hombre y comienza a trabajar como jardinero en una quinta portuguesa. Allí entabla una amistad inesperada con la dueña y se apropia poco a poco de una nueva vida que no le pertenece. A través de este deslizamiento silencioso, la película indaga en el duelo, la identidad y la frágil frontera entre la huida y la desaparición.
