Director's Statement

This was one of the most joyful sets I have ever participated in, because although it was a movie about pain, it was made with great humor and love. One of the things I wanted to do was make the kind of film that's always been the most interesting to me, which is a film in which the artist and the actors reveal themselves in a human way. Let's hope it's not as weird as it might seem. For me, the film comprises a series of middle ground. It is a film that begins without a beginning and ends without an end, but something incontrovertible changes along the way. The characters, the mood and the sense of power and position have changed. One of the things that cinema does so well is capture that ineffable but indescribable possibility of things being different. These three individuals are at a time in their lives where they are trying to imagine their long future, and it remains a time of discovery.
