Director's Statement
He started watching a German film called Victoria, starring Laia Costa. It is the story of a Spanish girl in the Berlin night. The stories have nothing to do with each other. And since I don't know why, I've always had an obsession with street sweepers, I said if I want to film something like that, I want it to be a strong street sweeper in Madrid. From there, I created. Laura read the script and immediately captured Adela. Then we worked on her gestures, the stops, because as the entire film is a great choreography, for me it is very important where she stops, what she looks at, what she thinks. And her gestures become more intense. Furthermore, the complexity of shooting the entire film in one sequence shot is that you have to rely on the talent of the main actress to carry it out fluidly.

HUGO RUIZ
Born in Spain in 1974, he works as a writer and director. Ruiz made the short films “Taxi Fuera de Servicio” (2011) and “S.O.S” (2014). “A Night with Adela” is his first feature film, awarded at Tribeca.
